Buyer Beware

Why pay thousands of dollars for an old 1970's Rolex or Salvage Rolex watch that might only last 1-3 years at best.

The life of a Rolex watch is around 40 years if maintained properly.

This site was put together to help educate potential Time Valley, Precision Time Keepers 1 and Quikdrop of Atlanta clients  who has purchased or thinking about purchasing a Rolex watch on eBay.

I would like to thank everyone for their help in passing this information on to their friends and linking this site to various other websites. We have received "hits" from all around the world.

Thank you once again.

New UPDATE  New

eBay has shut down Precision Time Keeper1 and Quikdrop of Atlanta for selling so called Guaranteed Authentic Rolex watches. We have learned that they have one more site; Time Valley that is still operating on eBay.

Warning

We have learned that Precision Time Keeper1 is now AKA: Time Valley.

We have also learned that Will Gordon real name is William Lichtenwalner.

Reputable businesses and reputable eBay power sellers don't get kicked off eBay or use allies names.

If you have purchased a watch from the internet, please have it appraised ASAP.  The game with these watches is: A Rolex life is about forty years if maintained correctly. They take a early 1970's watch and put a  refinished diamond dial (Valued around $250.00)  add a diamond bezel (valued around $500-$700) polish and buff out the scratches on the body and watchband plus use non genuine parts to get the watch to run long enough to get past the credit card fraud protection.

Hello, my name is Tim Wells, I like most of you went looking for a Rolex watch on ebay hoping to find something at a reasonable price.

I found Quikdrop and I saw that they had 100% feedback. I placed my bid like the most of you, and that’s when the nightmare began.

I have placed links and tips on this site to help educate you about Rolex watches and buying a Rolex watch off of the internet.

Double click links below:

Tip Number 2: Quikdrop of Atlanta and Precision Time Keeper1 and Time Valley are the same: This is taken from Precision Timekeepers1 website: PrecisionTimeKeepers1 is a division of Alex's Jewelers. Our luxurious storefront showroom is located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia.  This is taken from Quikdrop of Atlanta Certified Appraisal paper: Alex's Jewelry, Inc  227 Sandy Springs Place Suite 412 Atlanta, Georgia 30328

Tip Number 3: Rolex does not allow the sale of Rolex watches over the internet.

Tip Number 4: Things to have your jeweler check for when you have your watch appraised. This list was compiled from various Quikdrop customer complaints to our website:

  1. Check for non genuine parts inside the watch

  2. The carat weight of the gold

  3. Check for a genuine Rolex watch crystal

  4. Rolex watch bands

  5. The Diamond clarity

  6. The carat weight of the diamonds

  7. The year of the watch

  8. For customers who purchase a Tudor Watch (Tudor does not make a watch dial with the Rolex name printed on it.) Beware of the so called Men's and ladies Rolex Tudor watch.

I have had many Quikdrop customers contact me with stories like: Taken watch to the jeweler and was told: the watch had non genuine parts, not 18kt gold but a 14kt gold non genuine Rolex watch band, Non genuine Rolex crystal,

Tip Number 5: It is illegal to sell replica or counterfeit items on ebay.

Rolex Inc does not allow the sales of non genuine parts or so called original custom refinished Rolex diamond dials and custom made Bezels.  If it is not made by Rolex, it is a copyright and register trademark violation, or in laymen's terms COUNTERFEIT.

This was taken from Quikdrop of Atlanta ebay website:  "You are bidding on a beautiful AUTHENTIC ROLEX Ladies Diamond Bezel and Diamond Dial with VERY HIGH QUALITY DIAMONDS!
Give your
old Rolex a dazzling new look! (How funny, they should be experts at this)
This is a Real, GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC Ladies Rolex Custom Made Bezel and Dial. It was brought to us from a very reputable local jewelry store. (How reputable can you be, if you are selling  unauthorized custom made Rolex diamond dials and bezels)
This stunning bezel and dial comes with a certificate of authenticity and beautiful gift box.

Original Rolex Datejust Dial custom refinished in a dark golden color with approx .15 carat round brilliant cut diamonds on 18K solid yellow gold mounts.
- Custom Bezel is approx. 1.00 Carat round brilliant cut diamonds pave set on 18K solid yellow gold.
-
Very high quality diamonds added after market: VS 1 clarity, F color."

Now let dissect this Statement: You are bidding on a AUTHENTIC Rolex diamond dial and bezel. Things that make you go Hmmm: How can you have a Guaranteed Authentic Rolex dial and bezel if you also state "Ladies Rolex Custom made bezel and dial". Is this like going to Asia and bring back a custom made Channel purse? If Rolex didn't make it, its not original and defiantly not AUTHENTIC.

If you look at all of Quikdrop, Time Valley, or  Precision Time Keepers1ebay listings, they list all their watches between  1970-1999.  Rolex watches is one of the few watches that tells on itself.  Look at a brief explanation of Rolex serial numbers

Common sense should tell you that a 1990's watch will bring in more money than a 1970's watch, so why would you list your watch from 1970-1999?

Now lets apply this to Quikdrop, Time Valley and Precision Time Keepers1 Rolex watches, why would they sell a watch that could bring in two times more (1999) than a watch that would bring in less (1970). Answer: Quikdrop, Time Valley, and Precision Time Keepers1 watches are early 1970's watches and in some cases, salvage watches (a salvage watch is an watch that is put together using non genuine parts and parts from other watches to piece together one watch). They would like for you to believe that you are buying something newer. Once you find out that the watch is a 1970's watch, they will tell you that the website stated 1970-1999.

You can buy one of these old salvage watches or 1970's watches for about $500 and up and put a $250 diamond dial, and a $500 diamond bezel and make small repairs with non genuine parts (after all who looks inside of the watch, and if you did, would you know which of the 250 moving parts is non genuine).

Tip number 6:  Beware of eBay sites that are private.  When you bid on a eBay site that has the bidder as private, you have no way of knowing if the seller or the seller friends are bumping up the bids to get you to pay more money. This is how this game works: I have a Rolex watch that my bottom line price to sell the watch is $2300.  I put a safe guard like Reserve not met and set it at $2300.  Me and my friends start to bid on the watch each day to make it look like a lot of people have an interest in this watch.  If no one bids on the watch other than me and my friends, we won't get stuck with the watch because we know not to bid over $2300. When the bidding is over and you look at the bidding history, these people keep the history private so you can't see the game that was played on you.

Tip number 7: If you buy a salvage item, don't expect the item to appraise or perform like a genuine item.

I would like to show you a paragraph taken from one of Quikdrop sites: " This classic timepiece comes with its original Rolex tag, certificate of authenticity, one year mechanical warranty, beautiful gift box and has been serviced by our master watch maker. Serial and model number will be provided in your certificate of authenticity." These are used watches but some how they always seem to purchase these watches with its original Rolex tags but they never have the original case with the watch. Things that make you go Hmmm. They must have a box of original tags. They even put them on their Men's and Women's Tudor watches that don't come with an original Rolex Tag. "The Serial and model number will be provided in your certificate of authenticity". This is the point when you find out that you purchase a 1970's watch.

Tip number 8:  Ask for the serial number before you purchase the watch. You wouldn't buy a car without asking what's the year.

You will find that nine times out of ten, people will only look at the outer appearance, That's why they add the diamond dial and diamond bezel.  Congratulations, you are now the proud owner of a shiny old dazzling Rolex watch, which may be on its death bed inside of a year.  They make a profit of around $2,000 to $8,000 on the watch. Not bad for a old 1970's  non genuine Rolex watch.

Tip number 9: This is another common game that they use to sell more watches: They have a lot of these watches, so they go down the list of the private bidders history and contact the second and third bidders that bids are high enough and tell them that this is a second chance bid, we will allow you to buy the watch because the other bidder backed out. They end up selling the watch for two or three different prices with the same picture, Things that make you go Hmmm: Have you ever notice that Quikdrop uses the same watch pictures over and over again. Do you really now what you are buying?

Tip number 10: If a Rolex watch has non genuine parts, Rolex dealers will not service the watch.

For most of you its to late to put in a feedback, Michele Gordon is very good at pressuring  you to put in a positive feedback as soon as you received the watch. You are so happy by the outer appearance and the quick shipping that you leave a positive feedback without checking out the watch. When most people find out that they have been had, its too late, the positive feedback is already left.   Here are actual feed backs left at Quikdrop eBay site:

Negative feedback rating appraised by jeweler, Not a Rolex, but a Tudor with a Rolex Face. Not a Rolex SN Buyer: Dec-28-06 14:21

Neutral feedback rating Rolex declared not authentic by Rolex Dealer. Seller promptly refunded money Buyer: Jan-12-08 17:27

Questionable business. Questionable "Rolex". Buyer: Mar-15-08 06:27

Tip number 11: You have 90 days to leave a feedback, why rush.

Tip number 12: Watch out for the power selling words (some of these words have bull attached to them): AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL, CLASSIC, BRILLIANT, REPUTABLE, DAZZLING, and AUTHENTICITY.

As I told Will and Michele Gordon, they tried to scam the wrong person. I have spoken with Rolex of North America and the FBI to put these people out of business. Rolex is going to be working with my attorney to assist in shutting these people down.

These people operate by scaring  you with their attorney if you try and go up against them to get your money back. Don't be afraid to file a complaint with the bank, the more complaints received, the faster Paypal will drop them.

I live in California and they tried to sue me in Atlanta, Georgia under the Georgia long arm statute. This is a ploy to scare you into thinking that its going to cost too much time and money to fight them in Georgia

I had my attorney answer the case in the Superior Court of Fulton County, Atlanta Georgia and the Superior Court Judge  DISMISSED the case. See Court Case:

The Gordon's found out that they can't sue you in the state of Georgia for doing business with them over the internet.

Jerry W. Baxter, Judge Fulton County Superior Court Atlanta Judicial Circuit sites:  "It is well settle that an out-of-state defendant will not be deemed to have engaged in purposeful business activity in this state on the basis of telephone or mail contact" See object Technologies, Inc. v.  Marlabs, Inc.  246 Ga. App. 202, 203 (2000) (holding that defendant was not subject to personal jurisdiction under the long arm statue, O.O.G.A. 5 9-10-91(1), where all of the contract negotiation took place via the phone, internet, mail, or fax). Accordingly, the Court hereby DISMISSES this action for lack of personal jurisdiction over the defendant.

So don't let their Attorney scare you with a lawsuit

unless you live in Georgia, they have no jurisdiction over you.

If they try, it will be.

DISMISSED

We welcome the Gordon's to come to California, I have an attorney and countersuit waiting
